Colchester Golf Clubhouse

It's true - parts of the Colchester clubhouse are really 100 years old. But over the years it has been refurbished and expanded to continue to provide the essentials for club life.

The clubhouse, car park and professional's shop are situated on Braiswick, 1 mile up the B1508 from Colchester's main rail station. It has two entrances off this road, both of which take ingoing and outgoing vehicles normally.

The clubhouse opens about 7am and closes half an hour after the bar closes (see Catering).

Clubhouse Facilities

Main Lounge with Bar, Back Bar with TV, The Parmenter Room for dining and social functions, Kitchens, outdoor Terrace, Gents and Ladies Changing Rooms, Junior Room, Golf Bag Room with through-the-wall Practice-Ball-Dispenser, Administration Office and Secretary's Office. (see Catering).

Dress Code (Abbreviated)

Members and visitors are expected to adopt a standard of dress that is acceptable to the membership as a whole. As a general guide, smart casual clothing is fine but the following are not - Trainers, Football Colours, Vest-type T Shirts, Caps (in the clubhouse), Track Suits, Shell Suits or similar garments, denim Jeans, Sports Shorts. Tailored Shorts do conform; accompanying socks can be any colour (if long) or white only (if short) but must be worn at all times.

The 11th hole may be a short Par 4 on any weekday
