On Sunday 2 September in good conditions Lee Wicks, who in August won this year's Junior Championship, did a double by taking the 2007 Kent Salver, the 36-hole Stroke Play Club Championship with two rounds of 71 gross, 142. Chris Cutchie was runner-up, just failing to force a play-off on 143 (70+73). Photo above shows Lee with Club Captain Alan Macnaught.

The first eight available players from the Kent Salver went forward to the McLean Match Play Championship. This was won the following weekend by Chris Cutchie who beat Colin Glassey by 4/3 in a big-hitting final.

Ladies Club Champion

In the Ladies Championship Jo Taylor shot 76,77 in fine weather on Tuesday 4 September 2007 to easily beat former winners Cassie Cunningham and Laura Ship who tied second on 170. Liz Lennox presented the trophy.

Six-handicap Jo, who is also ladies champion at Rushmere Golf Club, is on a gap year from studies.
