Thank you to everyone who has collected their belongings from the mens' changing room. Some items do remain. In particular, there are many pairs of shoes. Please remove any items this weekend. Those remaining will be disposed of next week.

Members with a btinternet email should now be receiving club correspondence again. However, there may still be some isolated issues which IG are working through. Apologies for the inconvenience. The website and answerphone continue to be updated daily in addition to the email.

Course News

Greenkeepers Report 22nd December

This week had a dry start which allowed us to get vehicles on the course for the first time in a week, this enabled us to clear and collect multiple piles of leaves.

The tractor blower was also out on Monday and cleared areas which were dry enough to access.

All inlets and outlets have been cleared. Ditches on 16,17 and 18 have been cleared out and the leaves removed.

The 3rd tee area has been thinned out with the removal of a few trees this will allow more sunlight onto the back section of the 3rd tee and aid grass recovery. The tree canopy on the left side of the 3rd has been raised as high as possible so not to hinder the tee shot.

Two black pines and two scots pines have been removed from the right side of the 5th hole. This is all in accordance with the previously agreed Course Forward Plan.

A dead pine tree and dead Christmas tree have been removed from the 7th.

The dew pond on the 2nd fairway was pumped dry and then all the leaves collected.

This week has seen another 22mm of rainfall taking the amount for December so far to 76mm and total for the year so far to 716mm compared to 373mm in the whole of 2022.

Any interested players, old or new to the Norman Plum, can now show their availability by joining the Norman Plum Squad online (or by contacting Dave Humberstone). Joining online can be completed in the following way:
